Abstract Painted Antique Table

You guys know I love to use bold paper designs o my furniture sometimes.  My husband always asks me when I'm going to free hand an image instead of using paper.  I am no professionally trained in any artistic way but I decided this antique table would be my first guinea pig.  I hand painted the top and then painted the base in the turquoise.  Aside from being sooooo much fun, I think it turned out okay!  Have a look!

I'm not sure I'll try this again for awhile but I'm super proud of myself for giving it my best shot. Thanks in advance for any positive feedback you may have for me.

Happy weekend!

Mint Green Ombre' Dresser and Me

It's time for another ombre' piece, my friends!  This time I used a mint green as my base color and had the lightest color fade to dark and then light again.

I've been advised by other online business owners to personalize my work.  Do you think this oughta do it?!?!? Consumers are more likely to shop online if they feel a connection with the artist / owner.  So, here I am again, making a quick appearance.

Happy Friday to all of you!! Make the best of your Memorial Day weekend.

Matching Side Table ~ Packing Tons of Punch

This little side table is the coordinating piece to the striped chest I posted Friday.  I kept some leg showing from the original finish as well as the lip around the top.  The color is the same as two of the stripes on the dresser.  This set is bursting with character!

I love designing one of a kind pieces.  Below is my updated Facebook and blog cover photo.

Hope you all have a happy happy day!

This Stately Dresser Meets Urban Cool

I understand this dresser was beautiful before.  I understand that some may wince when they see I've painted this piece.  Lastly, I understand stripes are NOT for everyone and this was a bold design choice. I paint to create art. There is no way I could create a look everyone will love.  That's the beauty of what I intended for this piece...a mix of classic and urban.

If you haven't tried Frog Tape, you should!  It really makes painting stripes almost as easy as it looks!

Happy Saturday to all!

Mid Century Table in Metallic Pewter!

I love the design of this table! If I'd found two of them, they'd be in my living room right now.

I brushed on a silver, then a gold/silver mix and then topped it off with a stain/poly for added durability.  I love the textured look it gives the finish.

This table will be available at Robinson's Marketplace in Norman, OK.  If you are local, you must check out this shop!

Have a great day!

Antique Dark Green Buffet / Bar

Have you ever seen a more beautiful shape? This piece is just so very special, right? I was commissioned to paint it for some friends.  The color is the darkest green I've seen but the photos appear to look more gray.  I am NOT a professional and I just couldn't quite get it on this one. Oh, and excuse the garage photos.  I didn't want to bring it in and stage...too easy to get attached!

I kept the legs in the original wood to help highlight their shape.  Aren't they great?

Happy Weekend !!!
