Big Sister Suited in Teal and Navy

So this is the "big sister" to the piece I finished last weekend.

I have turned this vintage phonograph cabinet into a modern day piece, to be used anywhere you need storage. All record pieces have been removed, the center has been turned in to a chalk board.

I replaced the old pulls with new GORGEOUS ones from Anthropologie.

Big Sis can be found here on my Etsy shop, The Turquoise Iris.

Getting The Best of Blue

This is truly a one of a kind...inspired by Pantone's, Monaco Blue, color for 2013, I hand mixed the colors myself to get the look I was after for this piece. The turquoise cracked glass knobs from Anthropologie inspired the two toned variation. I think the combination of the blues with the perfect amount of distressing make this piece a show stopper! Don't you agree?

And here, I styled it a bit more organic and less traditional.

This lovely thing is for sale here on my Etsy shop, The Turquoise Iris:) Sorry...this piece is SOLD.

Hope your week is fun and plentiful!

Mid Century Modern Yellow Dresser

I went back to my favorite shade of
sunshine yellow! It's bold, warm, and beautiful. Plus the exposed raw wood of the lower drawers adds charm to this existing mid century dresser.

In love with those knobs!!! Seriously....glass...cobalt blue...so pretty!

This dresser is ready to purchase

Have a wonderful sunny day!

Teal Buffet / Dresser

Bold character and charm here, my friends;)

Inspired by Mexican buildings,
I painted this dresser in a dark teal with a sunny yellow accent. I topped it off with heavy distressing and an espresso stain to add depth and old world charm.
I kept the original brass hardware
because the contrast of color is beautiful.

Not my normal refinishing style, but if it's teal...I'm gonna love it! This dresser was tired and boring but in exceptional condition.  So, in order to make it a statement in today's homes, I went bold!

I would love to see this hanging out in your dining room as a buffet to store linens and Fiestaware dishes! Or, use anywhere really...even in a sweet baby nursery.

It could be yours:)

My French Cottage Side

A little chevron, a little toile, and a whole lot of color!!! I found these beautiful Anthropologie knobs first....then I found the perfect dresser, instead if the other way around. I love the blue hiding behind the black and white toile glass front. I think the dresser turned out wonderfully and could serve so many purposes in your home. The top 4 drawers are covered with green chevron paper, isn't that pretty?

I painted it green and the drawers are creme with heavy distressing. There are 9 drawers total, ALL of which are LINED with printed PAPER:) for hidden charm. this piece is solid and heavy and in great vintage condition. I am very proud of this girl!

Move Over Turquoise...

temporarily, of course.

Just finished this emerald green dresser!
I've gotta thing right now for this shade.

I think this dresser is stunning and would make a sophisticated statement in any room of your home. The color is bold and will compliment many other colors. Use in your living room as a media cabinet, a buffet in your dining room or make it pop in your bedroom!

This vintage dresser has 3 large drawers and 6 small ones. The sides of the drawers have been painted pink ....because...well...why not? :)

This dresser is for sale now here on Etsy.com

Have a delightful colorful weekend!
