It's Been A Fun Week!

Here are a few new furniture pieces I have been working on this week!  I am enjoying the mild temperature!

Beauty is not always in the eye of the beholder...not with this table. Show me someone who can say that this color isn't dreamy?
I have primed and painted in the glossy blue color and replaced the original knobs with these crystal like ones. D-I-V-I-N-E.
Use next to your sofa, chaise or bed. Top is the perfect size for your bedside bedside lamp and the small drawer can house your remotes or hide your yummy dark chocolates;) The lower shelf is perfect for your latest issue of House Beautiful!

This is such a beautiful design for a shelving unit! I have nothing to this other than clean and photograph it. The wood has aged so naturally, the grain and textures shows so well at any angle. This piece is heavy, solid and strong...beautiful construction!
Use just about anywhere in your home! Perfect for extra dining room storage, living or bedroom or if you have a large bathroom, house your towels and soaps in apothecary jars here. Three adjustable shelves.

Sold;)

I am looking forward to working on what's waiting for me in the garage...
Kelly Green anyone?

Whimsical!!!

I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colors. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns.

Here's a little "non-browns" for your pleasure today!
Just finished these adorable little tables!

Green Goodness

This chest has to be the oldest piece of furniture I have EVER
painted.  No kidding, but I really love it so much!
I have been just staring it it going over different ideas
and color ways to bring it to 2012 and away from the 1930's.

 Awesome delicate handles...thank you!
Then, I saw this photo of this incredibly cool room!

Love it love it love it love it love it.
And this photograph by Shane Ward of Little Havana...

And here is what I came up with, simple and
rustic with fresh modern colors. I did not use the
colors from above...I found my own;)

Use this dresser in your little one's nursery or add extra storage in you mudroom or playroom!
I have sanded, painted and topped it off with a light coat of stain to give it extra texture and depth. The hardware is original but I added some gold paint to them.

This dresser is for sale ON MY ETSY SHOP
The Turquoise Iris!

Hope you have a delightful day!

Teal Gets My Vote...as Usual!

So, after I narrowed it down to teal or kelly green or sapphire, I chose the teal!  I just couldn't stand it, had to. Again, here is the before and the after, to follow.

How wonderful would this be in ANY ROOM of your home? The style coordinates with modern or traditional and anywhere in between. The color compliments colors from shades of yellow, reds or bright white.

I have sanded, primed and painted this piece in a satin teal finish. The top has a clear coat of poly for added protection. I painted a sheer coat of gold paint on the hardware and the top 4 knobs have been replaced with these gold and bronze beaded ones.

Use this dresser in your bedroom, in your living room with a television on top, in your entry for a bold statement or how beautiful would this be in a little baby's nursery? Three large drawers would hold many tiny pajamas.

As usual, this piece can be purchased
here on my ETSY SHOP!

Thanks to all for their vote!

Mellow Yellow? I Don't Think So...

Such an awesome color! Happy, modern and just plain cool...

Plant this little thing next to your living room chaise or let it shine in your bedroom as your home for your reading lamp. Wherever you decide to let him rest, he will make a dramatic statement. I have sanded and painted this fabulous table and now he's ready for a new place to call home.

Honestly friends, this is one of those pieces where I say, "if I knew then what I know now..."  I would not have bought this little thing.  Somebody was NOT very nice to this over the years! Hopefully, I have restored it well enough to make it oh so proud!

And here are the lovely "BEFORE" shots;)
Still can't figure out what was on the top of this???  Nasty!

As usual, this cool little thing is for sale...BUY ME HERE!

Wow To White!

After the last little petite dresser I re-styled, I decided I loved that look.  I found this mid century desk last week and thought it to be perfect, the grain of the wood is beautiful but the top had to be sanded down a bunch! Here are the before and after photos!
"BEFORE"

And After...

I have sanded this 4 drawer desk and painted it in this warm white. I left the drawers alone, other than a fresh coat of clear sealer, to showcase the beautiful grain of the wood.

I think it's the perfect compliment to any home style you already have, the two tone design keeps it modern and simple but the contrast is still eye catching!
